SATURDAY SIPS! ORANGE JULIUS #BEVERAGE #ORANGE
Fall is only a couple brief weeks away, and in spite of the fact that we're energized for the adjustment in season, we are likewise not exactly prepared to relinquish the rest of the strings of summer at this time. That is the reason we've chosen to include one last summer-motivated Saturday Sips formula on the blog this year for you to appreciate on the few warm summer days that remain.
The Orange Julius is a well-cherished, exemplary American smoothie with beginnings in the mid-1920's. Also, in spite of the fact that you can almost certainly buy this drink from your nearby Dairy Queen nowadays, there's actually no compelling reason to drop the mixture when you can make it at home with only a couple of excessively normal family unit fixings: ice, milk, squeezed orange concentrate, sugar and vanilla.
INGREDIENTS
15-20 cubes of ice
1 cup milk (we used whole milk)
6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate
¼ cup sugar (or to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
Starting with the ice, pour all the ingredients into a blender. Pulse a few times to get the blending process going, and then continue to blend until the ice is broken down and the mixture is smooth and creamy. Taste for sweetness. Add more sugar if needed and pour into glasses. Garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy!
